Tips to enhance your Personality

Your personality is the the only thing you can take charge of and control. While some people buy new clothes, other hunt for branded attire to make them look great from the outwards.

The truth is if you're not strong from within nothing can make you look great from the outside.
Personality goes way beyond external appearances. It includes basic nature, traits, qualities, physical persona, speech, attitude and everything that's innate.

Try these:

1. Look Interested- Discover what other people want. Get to know their likes, dislikes, interests and beliefs. By doing this, you will be regarded as a person with a pleasing personality.

2. Have positive assumptions- Discard the negatives around and assume that people like you. If you show the other person that you want people to talk to you, they will react with warmth.

3. Admit your weaknesses- It's fine nobody is perfect. Strengths and weaknesses come together. To improve your personality, It's important to admit and identify your flaws before somebody else does it.

4. Admire your peers / friends- Its nice to praise them for their achievements. Tell them how attractive they look. Make them feel important they are to you. Therefore its essential to choose a group of friend that's compatible and encouraging. If in bad / incorrect company then steer away.

5. Like I said, always associate with people who are successful, happy and encouraging. Seek the companionship of others who can give you new points of views, renewed hopes, and meaningful life.

6. Be social- Social gatherings can increase your circle of friends. Social events can likewise give you new insights and experiences. It can help improve your relationships with other people and your community. Social gatherings can help you develop your communication skills.

7. Willing to learn- It's always good to know what's new. Try everything so that nothing seems impossible when attempting a new task. By doing so, you are expanding your horizons and opportunities.

Do a Personality check at Job interviews

A job is probably everything one dreams of, but why go unprepared.

Like you work hard to get good grades, best college and superior degree, you should also work on improving and enhancing your personality.

After all, your personality will take you one step further to success!

When a person gets into job or business, first thing he / she is conscious about the new corporate culture. Corporate or Business etiquette has now become vital.

There's always a void in life when it comes to Learning Corporate or Business etiquette as people come from varied cultures and backgrounds.

Here are some must-know Corporate Etiquette that will save your day :

Entrance: Your entrance, introduction and appearance could make or break the situation.

Handshake: Remember your nature is being judged by a mere handshake. There has to be firm handshake which shows your confidence and adaptability level. If you press palm of other person, it shows a dominant nature. Similarly, if you press your palm downwards and other person’s palm is upwards it shows a submissive style.

Interview: While going for interview, always knock the door and only after seeking the permission then enter the room.
Always greet the panel members and sit after they give permission to be seated. You should sit erect / straight with back touching the chair and both legs touching the ground.
Sit comfortably. Listen to the interviewer properly and then answer, don’t rush to answer before they complete their question.
At this point of time be very attentive it shows focus.

Dress code: "Man Maketh clothes" we know that. But the clothes chosen should enhance the personality too.
Your dress should be neat, clean and presentable.
Men should always wear shirt of light color with a tie.
Don’t spray too much strong perfume. Color of shirt, socks, belt, and boot should match.
For women, it depends on their cultural backgrounds. Don't glam-up unless told. Too much is bad.
Your dress should be according to company’s rules and regulations.
In short, your dress code should be formal & suit your body.

Business card: Always carry visiting cards with you.
Your details like name, designation and other details should be present.
Visiting cards must be kept in a visiting card holder.

GEt your confidence high!

Look for a role model (someone who has self confidence) and learn from them, however don't emulate them.

Time and again conduct SWOT analysis. Focus on your achievements rather than your failures. If you do find yourself thinking about how you failed then look at what you managed to do right and how you could correct what you did next time.

Learn to feel good about yourself at all times. Don't let trivial things upset you.

When you begin to Act as if you were self confident, you will feel more confident.

Focus on your chosen peer group. Friends can influence us easily therefore choose them with care.

Prepare thoroughly for any task so that you can be sure you are ready.

Keep working on honing your skills. You can never be over trained or over skilled for any challenge in life.

Work on your relaxation skills. Learn to calm yourself in tough situation.

Always smile and stand up straight. The body posture says a lot.

Set reachable/realistic goals for yourself and adopt drill-down method (break difficult tasks into smaller steps)

Reward yourself when you succeed, it doesn't matter whether the achievement is big or small .

Do not be too competitive or compare yourself with others.

Always be yourself and accept that life is not a race against others.

Remember your self confidence depends on how you make it -- after all, there's a very thin line between confidence and arrogance.

Its easy to be slim, to maintain it is hard!

Are you up for the challenge?

Yes, Modelling is almost like a challenge you take up in life.
Its not like other professions where you report to work do your job and back home. In a sense modelling has a lot to do with travelling, adapting to new places, staying under the arclights, going for auditions time and again and phew!

This is just the beginning...

However if everything done professionally and the right way can yield great results for the future. Earlier people would criticize modelling for being a hobby or side job but today Modelling is the profession. Everybody wants to taste it...

The money is good, the travelling is great and the circles have widened. But the bigger truth is how one enters the field.

TMA primarily concentrates on doing it the right way! As a model you never know when oppurtunity comes calling therefore its important to be prepared at all times.
TMA, The Modelling Academy does just that.
