Do a Personality check at Job interviews

A job is probably everything one dreams of, but why go unprepared.


Like you work hard to get good grades, best college and superior degree, you should also work on improving and enhancing your personality.

After all, your personality will take you one step further to success!

When a person gets into job or business, first thing he / she is conscious about the new corporate culture. Corporate or Business etiquette has now become vital.

There's always a void in life when it comes to Learning Corporate or Business etiquette as people come from varied cultures and backgrounds.

Here are some must-know Corporate Etiquette that will save your day :

Entrance: Your entrance, introduction and appearance could make or break the situation.

Handshake: Remember your nature is being judged by a mere handshake. There has to be firm handshake which shows your confidence and adaptability level. If you press palm of other person, it shows a dominant nature. Similarly, if you press your palm downwards and other person’s palm is upwards it shows a submissive style.

Interview: While going for interview, always knock the door and only after seeking the permission then enter the room.
Always greet the panel members and sit after they give permission to be seated. You should sit erect / straight with back touching the chair and both legs touching the ground.
Sit comfortably. Listen to the interviewer properly and then answer, don’t rush to answer before they complete their question.
At this point of time be very attentive it shows focus.

Dress code: "Man Maketh clothes" we know that. But the clothes chosen should enhance the personality too.
Your dress should be neat, clean and presentable.
Men should always wear shirt of light color with a tie.
Don’t spray too much strong perfume. Color of shirt, socks, belt, and boot should match.
For women, it depends on their cultural backgrounds. Don't glam-up unless told. Too much is bad.
Your dress should be according to company’s rules and regulations.
In short, your dress code should be formal & suit your body.

Business card: Always carry visiting cards with you.
Your details like name, designation and other details should be present.
Visiting cards must be kept in a visiting card holder.
